A post on FB got me thinking about vineyards (I don't own a single one yet). Had the idea of using roofing nails and scrubber pads. The nails become the "trunks" and then just flock the pads. For 1/285 the pad is easy to cut but I think thumb tacks would be the right length.

They are cheap and easy to make. I think once done they will flex over hills too. These nails are 1.25" so next time I'll look for something shorter.

hi try evaporation cooler filter pads for a more vine like look.

I think thinner and more supports would look more appropriate
I used 1mm florists wire for the supports – and that was for 15mm terrain.

These use pieces of twig from an apple tree – they look more like a vine trunk

That looks great but part of my goal is a piece that will conform to hills. But yes, perhaps nails for the end peices and then some twigs for the trunks!
