Greetings!
I'm starting a project to do 28mm skirmish games in a Fantasy Renaissance setting – can people recommend some figures for this genre, but human Renaissance figures and fantasy figures? Thanks!

The Assault Group has a huge range of historical Renaissance humans but also carries a range of Renaissance style Dwarfs.

Antediluvian miniatures carries a small but cool range of fantasy conquistadors

Wargames Foundry have lots of options for humans from thier Pike and Shot ranges( check out their swashbucklers, landsknechts and conquistador ranges)

And Foundry's sister company Casting Room miniatures also has a big Renaissance range and tucked away in the fantasy section is a pack called swashbuckler adventures

Also check out Bridge Miniatures who carry the old Black hat shattered isles fantasy range that includes Orc buccaneers and Dwarf explorers.

Nice suggestions, thanks! I also found Eureka minis has a whole line of Italian-esque civilians -- ruffians, duelists, etc.

As you are the other side of the pond try Badger games they seem to stock most of my suggestions.
Bad Squiddo- female characters
Warlord- range of metal landsknechts and civilians + plastics
North Star- some of the frostgrave will work.
Artisan – look @ the landsknechts.
Old Glory do some really dodgy Transylvanian peasants, and some great eastern renaissance figures.
Look through the Reaper and Ral Partha ranges.
Steel Fist do landskneckts and cavalry with separate heads so that you could make mounted and dismounted lords/ knights etc.

I wish you well , I have based my project loosely around the Italian wars of the early 16th century.

Some of the figures in TT Combat's Carnevale range might be useful as well.

Not to forget their line of Halflings in Landsknecht-style on armoured chickens.

Westfalia also has a small but impressive line of Halflings and some Ogres.

If you need some early 14th century Halflings Wargames Atlantic have a cheap and perfect plastic set that could work for backward areas in later renaissance scenarios.
