Has anyone played this set of rules? Is it a rule set you would recommend? 🙏 Lloyd

There is a pretty active Facebook group when they were developed. I have read but not played them.

I think there is going to be a game at Enfilade Lloyd.

Thanks for the information. I did sign up for the game. Unfortunately I am not on facebook. I understand the rules are free and I was hoping to get a copy before Enfilade. Lloyd

I have not played a game using them yet, but have read various battle accounts as well as the rules, and they appear to give a good game.

I have played a few times. It's a really fun game and a great convention game, but it's not super realistic. It definitely gives you the feel of sub warfare, and is a lot of fun, but your enjoyment of it will depend on whether or not you are looking for a fun game with some abstractions, or a very realistic submarine simulation. If you are ok with the former, you will love it- especially at the price (which is free).

The game takes some liberties (for example, I've played games where, by the numbers, you were better off going active sonar in situations where you have multiple submarines facing off with one another, which is very much not the case with real submarine tactics). However, in most cases you get the feel and tension of submarine warfare in the modern age.

There is an active facebook community and constant updates to data for the game, which is appreciated.

If you are a fun sub gamer, you will definitely enjoy these rules. I played in a "Hunt for Red October" scenario at a convention a couple of years ago. The gamemaster used these, and everybody had a great time. Of course, lots of quotes from the movie were thrown around during play. . . .
