Sorry ther are so many categories on this site, i was posting under the paper modelling, but maybe i will get more replies under this category – does this category include paper figures where i am attempting both flats and blocks of sorts. the stuff from Wofun is all so good it almost makes me want to just not bother, but on the other hand i kind of like the weird messy things that are coming together for me i kind of like the combination here, but everything can be arranged in whatever way
slowly assembling french and russian armies – the plan is to get enough done to be able to fight the battle of Polotsk firstly though the Baden Hussars are not part of that Battle i dont think

Ohhhh, I didn't ( not that is bad) know they were that small. But to me turns it into a half board game half miniatures in being 2 dimensional |

Every wargamer to his own taste, but I think you'll find either the 2D flat bases or the blocks to be more durable and easier to handle. If it was me, I'd go with the blocks absent severe storage space problems. |

To say it flat out, there is a MIL-SPEC for everything. ORIGAMIL-SPEC on YouTube And they have obviously been training their allies in secret folding techniques for years.! link |

Hi, thanks for the replies. I am making these myself in that I am digitally creating the art for them ( which is probably the main part I am doing it as that is the I find most enjoyable) and figuring out how best to cut and arrange them into versions that others might like also) As for whether it's more on the board game size, I think at that scale yes it could go either way. As for me well I will be using them with miniatures rules and after these I plan to make armies for the seven years war and then Great Northern War And then ancients and mediaeval and fantasy I still have a lot to go with Napoleonics. I had made a concept for artillery and caissons see the four horse french 6pnder below, but I will have to come up with block and flat versions also
Maybe with a block version the cannon will be its own piece which can be placed.either behind the horse team to be limbered and then unlimbered can be positioned on a base that has the gun team as 2.5d figures on it, or I just make everything |

This is the line infantry concept which I am most happy to go with, not sure what the term is that applies – crenellated blocks? This I think works for a number of different rulesets

I love these and have used Junior General figs in the same way when trying new periods. These look very artistic. As for board games, I have gradually been adopting some board game features using miniatures and moving away from my original 5x12 table. I actually have a game board for 6mm ACW that I can play leaning back in an easy chair, it rests in my lap. Not because I am lazy, I am physically active. It's just nice for a quick solo game. |

glad you like the look on them – they actually look better in reality than in the photos as the photos lose some details but it may be due to my crappy android phone, i cant seem to get a shot at the perspective that would be typical for wargaming – either it comes up too far away or i need to go up close. but nevertheless i am getting my comfortable with the approaches – Russian Grodno Hussars next i like the idea of hexes being used too as i am also lacking the space for a large wargaming table, hence also the appeal of 6mm and 2mm for me when it comes to napoleonic and 18th century stuff. |
