Well once again … we see with the US dragging its feet to send all the combat power the Ukraine needs to throw the Russians off their land. The war drags on… and with the "failed" Merc march on Moscow. It will continue. If the US was leading from the front and NATO followed MBTs, CAS aircraft, etc., etc. were sent many months ago as the Ukraine requested. Things would be very different in this conflict. As it is the US is giving the Ukraine just enough to keep the war going. Not to end it. The US is concerned/afraid to upset/make Putin mad, etc. It is the same with the CCP. The enemy is supposed to be afraid of the US. Not the other way around. You don't have to be a tactical genius to see what is going on … and why ! |

Journalist Max Blumenthal testified today during a UN Security Council hearing on the Russo-Ukraine War that up to 70% of US aid to Ukraine cannot be properly accounted for, and that after pouring through available information on payments has found money being spent on projects and organizations as far removed from the war as farm aid to Kenya. link |

As noted in the link Blumenthal is associated with The Grayzone. The Grayzone has a left bias of -24.1 and a reliability rating of 28.7. By comparison Reuters has the highest reliability rating of 49.33 and a bias of -0.28. Source link Click on the interactive media chart link to see how other news agencies are rated. Meidazone also rates them as far left and questionable link A web search for Grayzone reviews brings up additional sites noting their bias and unreliability. Also, that Chinese government officials and state media are citing it due to its denial of China's campaign of cultural and demographic genocide. Blumenthal frequently appears as a commentator on Russian state-affiliated news agencies. link |
SBminisguy | 12 Jul 2023 7:30 a.m. PST |
LOL! Blumenthal was a left-of-center reporter in good standing with the Establishment media until he actually started challenging the Establishment narrative and investigated them. That's when he went from "reliable" to being an outcast, eh? And why wouldn't you want to know if his information about Ukraine is correct -- if up to 70% of aid $$ are being diverted away from the front lines, etc? |
Legion 4 | 12 Jul 2023 8:18 a.m. PST |
Putin will keep the war going. Knowing there will probably a brokered peace, etc. sooner or later. Then claiming the war over and call it a victory. As Russia will probably hold whatever Ukrainian territory based on the brokered peace. E.g. parts of the Donbas and Crimea, possibly. Putin will do what he has done before. He will regroup, refit, etc. and at a later time maybe even years as happen with the Crimea in 2014. The Russian aggressors will attack again from the Ukraine land they still hold. And continue their "crusade" or whatever against the Nazis, etc. The Ukraine wants to join NATO but it can't while at war according to the Charter. That may be a good move after this conflict is over. As we know for obvious reasons. We will have to wait and see how this war ends/falls out. However, when this conflict is over the UN has to set up blocking forces, fortified check points, etc. along the borders wherever they are. E.g. along the Donbas and Crimea borders and any land the Russians hold at war's end. The UN troops will act as a deterrent for another Russian attack. But this may not happen with Russia & China being on the UN P5 and their supporters from other UN nations. This should happen even if the Ukraine pushes the Russians out of their lands. And the UN forces will set up on the Russian border. NATO should send and keep forces on places like Poland, the Baltic States, Finland, etc. If they border Russia, etc. Looks like this is happening already in some NATO nations e.g. Poland. |
williamb | 12 Jul 2023 8:43 p.m. PST |
So it is funny that Grayzone is considered unreliable? In other words, Grayzone is accurate in denying that China mistreats its ethnic and religious minorities? Organ harvesting doesn't exist according Grayzone. Why would it be considered a reliable news source if it is denying that this exists? Exposing waste and fraud is important. The question is was it actually waste and fraud or just poor record keeping due to the ongoing war? As of May 31st, the US had given a total of 76.8 billion dollars. link Of that 23.5 billion has been weapons and munitions and another 18.3 billion in training and equipment. Did Blumenthal specify what sort of aid was not accounted for? Even if it was not kept track of as well as it should have been, was it still used for the purpose it was given? |

NATO should send and keep forces on places like Poland, the Baltic States, Finland, etc. If they border Russia, etc. Looks like this is happening already in some NATO nations e.g. Poland. Yes, exactly … As I said: Looks like this is happening already in some NATO nations e.g., Poland. I used Poland as an example. But thanks for adding the others to the list. Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia? Now if they will only stay after this war is over. But for now, they are going to be there. Well IMO[and others] Putin is no longer an "asset" … he should have an accident. No surprise the Russians are using older tank models e.g. T54/55s and T62s. Their MBT/AFV losses are very high. And it seems they want to continue their war in the Ukraine. No matter what it takes, regardless of losses … They will have to use what they have on hand… They may run out sooner than later … |
