I've been busy this last month putting together a French squadron of Warlord 1:700th ships, for a friend, carrying on the project from February to build a similarly British one.

In addition two more French first-rates have been added to the home fleet in readiness for a campaign game to be run at Legionary in Exeter on 7th May with the fictional Battle of Madras seeing Admiral Howe confronting Commodore Rosily in the Bay of Bengal with twelve ships aside including four French three deckers.

Lovely ships as always JJ!

Quick question; you've managed to put names on the stern galleries for the frigates – how on earth have you managed that??

Cheers,

Nick

Very nice work, especially the rigging.

Thanks for your comments chaps, much appreciated.

Nick – The Warlord kits consist of generic and named ships, basically with the named versions having metal stern galleries and figureheads for adding to the basic kit, with the stern galleries having a raised name on them which simply requires a bit of wet and dry brushing to bring the detail out on the finished model, but certainly adds lots of character to a collection, with specific famous ships readily identifiable among a fleet or squadron,
