You were asked – TMP link Do you have figures without weapons that are carrying non-weapon tools? 83% said "yes, I have figures carrying tools" 14% said "no, I do not have figures carrying tools" |

Early on we had a few Engineers but abandoned it, ordinary figures could just be noted as doing engineering tasks, cheaper and more simple. Thst csn be said of the figures generally, a bit of poetic licence avoids having to pant too many figures or store them. |

I thought this was going to be about (___insert political figure of your choice___). |

Nice to know that on Planet UshCha engineers no longer need special training or equipment. I never quite figured out what the poll was really looking for, though. Including--or failing to exclude--artillery implements moved everyone with a Renaissance or horse & musket army into the yes category. And by the time artillery moves off-board, it's an unusual army which doesn't include some sort of engineer unit. So there are Ancients and fantasy armies which might not have such types, some modern skirmish types (and UshCha) and probably some SF. But what have we learned? |

But what have we learned? You can have infinite fun without habving to paint and store lots of figures and its Socially acceptable to do so. A big learn I think. Plus figuires not required for WW2 Brits anyway. A few Shovels and a scale notice "Gone for tea" would be sufice. |

But what have we learned? We have learned what we always learn from empirical data collection. In this case that roughly 83% of the responses were the affirmative. If you want to learn something from a poll of this sort, read the comments. The discussions there about the topic are more valuable than the votes themselves. |
