I see, Roman von Ungern-Sternberg is quite an interesting and colourful Back of Beyond/Pulp charakter. Drawn to Buddhism and the occult, a bit like an evil counterpart to Nicholas Roerich. And is Ungern-Sternbergs mythical treasure still lying buried north of Ulaanbaatar?

Arjuna, for TMP purposes, ALL legendary buried treasure is still out there somewhere--Spanish galleons, Inca ransoms, Nazi gold, pirate gold, the Amber Chamber, the Lost Dutchman Mine…All you need is 5-7 characters, a map in three pieces and a set of cryptic clues. When you get to Ulan Bator, be sure to pick up some dinosaur eggs, see how the kraken in The Mirage is getting along, and take a quick look for the Plateau of Leng. Maybe four RPG campaigns with the same terrain set and horde of expendables. |
