Well of course they'd have appeared in white- after changing entirely from scarlet of the previous 5-30 years. Do you think virtually brand new uniforms, never seen on campaign, would just get chucked away because some ordered 'we shall dress them in green…' Isn't this a post-mortem painting eulogising the son, Honoré-Charles Lariboisiere who died at the Battle of Moskova? d |

>>who died at the Battle of Moskova? should have read 'after the Battle of Moskova?' Apologies. >>Top quality painting. By Gros- sure!!! ~d |

I've said this many times on many posts, do what YOU like. They are your figures so enjoy them. Beautiful paint jobs you've done with all 3 of them! |

Thanks for your comments guys, Sorry to hear about that Lillian…
But when sources are unclear, I paint the uniform of the trumpeters as I wish, after all, I'm the colonel of all the regiments I paint ;-) |

>>Sorry to hear about that Lillian… No problems with painting your way Blue Max- extrapolation is strong on this planet-- after all greed and other vices follows the same trail, want more, get more, repeat.. same semantics in successful art work and publishing I'm sure. Us amateurs can just stand-by and [try to] keep our wallets closed! Most of my units contain deliberate anachronisms now, just because… dave |
