I've caught the Kislev bug having been playing Warhammer Total War 3. I have a load of painted GW Kislev Horse Archers and Winged Lancers and I'm tempted to collect and model the army. For those unaware the following is a guide to the army roster YouTube link I have managed to find suitable armoured female warriors in the Highlands range but am struggling to find figures which look the ones in the game. I have had a look at TAG but they do not look the part Fireforge almost look right but they are clad in chainmail rather the scale mail look. Just curious if there are any ranges I have overlooked. I appreciate that conversions will be required as the bulk of the Kislev army is an infanry based on heavy foot with pistols and well that probably is not a historical troop type |

There might be something here you can use. link |

With Fireforge you could use the plastic Byzantine infantry as they are wearing scale armour and you should have no problem kit bashing them with Fireforge's Russian infantry to get the look you want. |

I use what 79th PA pointed out to fill in my ranks of Kislev. They match up well IMO. |

Prince Rupert the kitbashing idea is interesting. I must say that I have found Old Glory to be some of the ugliest figures case in lead and a waste of good lead |

LOD, I find the range that 79th PA is speaking of is one of my favorite figures for the period IMO. |

One man's meat is another's poison. I dislike them but I respect your right to extol their virtues What I wanted to do was to collect an army which resembles the units which appear in a computer. I figure that as there won't be an exact range, some kitbashing will be required. For example in the game, there are units equipped with a musket which has an axe head attached to the stock, the units have spiked helmets and wear some kind kind of lamellar pauldron w . Most of the strelsti figures I have seen are historically accurate with bardische axe msuket heads and long overcoats and well they don't match the ones from a Fantasy game. The plastic kitbhashing route is going to the best way of puling this off |

No worries. Looking forward to what you come up with. |

These two ranges from Wargames Foundry may be of interest: link link |

The Foundry winged lancers look about right but the infantry dont work. This is what I am after link The cossack style foot come in two varieties the unarmoured who have big axes or spears and bows rather than muskets and a second class who are heavy armoured in scale mail with Spangenhelm style helmets and pauldrons ( GW love thier pauldrons) with big shields, pistols and either 2 handed maces or swords Like most of the figures I collect and paint these days these will be display pieces rather than gaming pieces |

I know you said you looked at TAG and ruled them out but it seems like the two sets of cossacks, they have with open hands, might well work as unarmoured Kossars just add spears, bows or big axes to suit. link link TAG also do plenty of useful weapons for conversions including pistols link |

Go on Etsy and search for Kislev miniatures you will find many things that fit what you are looking for. I would also consider Heroforge to make some of the personality miniatures |

Drafon Gunner Thanks for the Etsy heads up – I found some decent warbears , t There's some 3D print companies which are perfect like this one link link As an aide I already have 17th century Polish army so I am aiming for something which is not a historical army as such |

Some of the TAG Muscovites may be what you ar looking for if you are looking for a uniformed army. For my Kislev styled army I use any dodgy looking eastern renaissance figure that fits with my vision- wild tribesmen, peasant militia and uniformed regiments from the cities. For fun I also mix in cossacks, transylvanians and the balkan irregulars of the ottoman empire. |

For the winged hussars, there are the warlord ones that are really neat looking |
Legend of Doom | 29 Mar 2022 7:12 a.m. PST |
Another suitable range link Their website is not taking orders at the moment but I managed to get the ice queen on war bear. I'm planning on modelling the army after my usual army choices on Total War which means no Hussars as they suck in Total War. Plus I am trying to avoid figures which too much like historical ones. My plan is for something which does not look a collection of figures from hisorical companies For shock cavalry I only use war bears as they are good against everything except anti large heavy infantry |
