Just saw the new partworks. No more free paint, it seems. Probably for the best, I guess. Other gripe is poor army choice, Sigmar and Marines, again! Why not have some different ones? Are these going to be the same models as last time? Or new ones? I guess they are guaranteed sellers, and people who bought the last lots can add to the existing armies. On the plus side, you can never have too many dice, ha ha ha ha!!! Still not as good as free paint though. |

I've been subscribed to Imperium magazine since it started last year I've had plenty of paint and brushes so far. It started off with marines but last few mags have had admech on them and at some point they will add SOBs. As I've never collected Necrons so I'm doing pretty well on that front.I've got quite the army of killer robots building up now. It certainly a far cheaper way to get a bunch of GW stuff than buying the models direct from GW. |

GWs really wrecked the Necrons. They used to be sinister unknown enemies. Now they have names and bling. Another disappointment. Still, may get some warriors, can't see the three at GW, other than in the boxes with other figures or paint set. I think they have finally figured out the part works, to an extent. Conquest first had loads of paint, basic marines and a cheap price. Aka, free gold. Must have sold bazilloins, been annoying to re stock such a loss leader. Mortal realms had two lots of grunts right off, again an expensive loss leader sure to bought up by the box (why are you looking at me?). This time around both mags start with a character for each army. This offers some value, as they are characters, yet no one needs 100 of them and they aren't overly expensive, also allowing GW to get extra work out of the character moulds, almost saving them money. Over all, no paint in the first issue, but an understandable choice. |

Imperium magazine has been fine so far. Marines and Necrons are my armies and the last price breakdown I saw was 40% discount. |

Yeah – the latest issues are super bargains. Something GW would sell in store for £25.00 GBP going for £9.00 GBP with maybe a battlemap as well? Without getting into the GW pricing debate it is, by any measure, a complete bargain. The Age of Sigmar one was a similar bargain fest (if you picked your issues – I only wanted Nightgaunts for example, and not even for GW gameplay). Again figures that were £15.00 GBP – £25.00 GBP in a box from the GW store were just £8.00 GBP |
