So I want to sell a WH40K Squat miniature, which I believe was modelled on Gw Artist John Blanche. Should I charge an exorbitant price on ebay ;) Seriously I am fed up trying to work out appropriate values from ebay, same mini can be £20.00 GBP or £3.00 GBP ? Surely people would never buy the expensive one when the exact figure is available at a fraction of the others asking price. |

Look at completed listings to give a better idea of prices |

look at what is has sold for on E-bay first. That is the true current value of a collectable. |

seconding looking at completed auctions If you want to move it, discount 10-15% from what other auctions completed for |

Yes, what people have paid for an item is a far better guide than what some website calculates from a dozen factors ( Looking ta you worthpoint.com . . . ) In general, though, my Rule of Thumb for pricing items for eBay is - Still available somewhere – About half retail price unpainted, painted add 10% to retail price. Not available under 5 years – Up to 50% more than retail price unpainted, painted depends on standard of painting, but no less than +60% retail for a good paintjob. Out of production for more than 5 years – Up to 200% of retail in any condition. Notice I will also pay those amounts as well for somethign rare that I require/want. |

Determine the minimum that you actually want for the figure and post it for that. If it is worth more, people will bid it up. If your cost is too high, it will sit. Also, old or OOP doesn't automatically equate to value. |
