There are some scenarios in the old Ironclads and etherflyers rulebook by Frank Chadwick. France vs England, America vs Spain, etc. Anyone make ships for this period 1870s-1889? |

Richard Houston had a line of European ships from roughly that period. They were sold to Tactical/Tabletop Conflict Systems, and the Tabletop Conflict Systems website went away in 2019. Grelber |

Navwar do a fairly extensive 1/3000th range and Tumbling Dice do a 1/2400th range. |

Red Eagle Miniatures have a range of ships in 1/1200. Mostly British with a couple of French. They also do some transitional ships that look interesting. link |

Try WTJ at: wtj.com/store Pricey but nice and a big range in many scales. |

Very few WTJ ships are this early, most are post 1890. If you want 1/1200th then Triton are not bad models but the range is very limited. There were some collectors ranges at one time that included the later ironclads – at 1/1250th scale mostly but these were very expensive even when in production and I don't think they are still made. |

I have several on my Shapeways store from all around the world link I'm always adding more and take requests. I can print any of these from home as well in resin in just about any scale, but a bit backlogged at the moment. |

Stone Mountain may still have some of the Houston models. I got some from them about 4 years ago. You have to ask. |

Also try panzerschiffe for 1/2400 models. link Ships stay active for quite some time after they are launched. A good part of the Spanish ships in the Spanish American War were considered as obsolete. Also, do some research on the ships you want. I wanted to do the Charleston for the Spanish American War. It was built with plans purchased from Armstrong (England). It was similar to the Armstrong-built Japanese cruiser Naniwa. Since no one produced the Charleston, I found the Naniwa under the Russo-Japanese War line from panzerschiffe.
