The Bolivian soldier who pulled the trigger to execute the famed revolutionary guerrilla Ernesto "Che" Guevara has died at the age of 80…

A considerably older age than Guevara's victims generally lived to.

Those Che t-shirts look no different to me than a Pol Pot or a Reinhard Heydrich t-shirt.

Best Che t-shirt I've seen: Communist kill 100 million people and all I got was this lousy T-shirt.

I could point out capitalism has killed billions.

Yeah, you could, but all you'd be doing is implying that you accept the validity of Marx's attempt to classify the natural process of people buying and selling things as a "system." And that would imply you're willing to stretch that definition to the point of attributing agency to it. Which, if you did it, would leave other people free to roll their eyes, shrug their shoulders, and say, "whatever, dude." Because, you know, most people have heard the village Marxist make that claim before, and they didn't believe it then.

All hypothetically and conditionally, of course.

I always enjoy a well-executed, articulate beat-down of a Communist/Communist sympathizer!

LOL..hardly. Funny, though.

You socialists are so cute. But communist Marxism has killed more and has impoverished even more. Look around you at all the things you have and use that have improved people's lives and increased life spans. I have no doubt that you have a cell phone, the internet, computer, TV, and choice of food, and far more; oh, and wargames! These things are rare in socialist countries -- except for the elite.

The modern love affair with Communism tells you two things: one, that a generation whose defining experience is education will continue to believe what they were taught in school, long after the experience of adult life should have disabused them of the more obviously silly notions; two, that the Long March through the institutions worked.

The Wall came down thirty-two years ago, and a lot of us remember it like it happened yesterday; a lot of us also had the subsequent experience of meeting and listening to the generation of Europeans who consciously lived under it. Those lessons are not necessarily general, or enduring, unfortunately.

optional field, you didn't elaborate. "Billions" implies at least 2/7ths, and up to 6/7ths, of the world's current population.

whatever, dude.
