Ah, yes- Hesilrigge's Lobsters; I have them in 28mm but I must say your unit is more impressive! Great unit – as King Charles said of Hesilrigge, "had he been as well supplied as he was fortified he could have withstood a siege" – and they live on as the Blues and Royals Thanks for posting |

and they live on as the Blues and Royals I was not aware of that part of their lineage. Thanks. Jim |

Dang, I was hoping for lunch. Great work on the minis and presentation. I think you did a great job on the horses. |

Very nice. the Blues and Royals link is to Hesilrigge not the London Lobsters sadly (Wikipedia is incorrect in this). Hesilrigge gave up command of the Lobsters due to the Self Denying Ordinance. The lobsters joined the NMA as Butler's, and continued under a number of different commands to exist until 1659. Meanwhile Sir Arthur took command of the Lord General's RoH about 1660; he was also asked to raise a new RoH for the Commonwealth in 1650, which he would relinquish command of in 1651. This Commonwealth RoH would be restyled as the Royal Regiment in July 1660. The Blues and Royals lineage comes from this 'Royal Regiment'. |

Beautifully painted unit BRB. I concur with KYPD, although it's often said the Lobsters were ancestors of the Blues I've never been convinced. At best they were step-fathers :-) |
