I cannot find a single English language source that uses the term "Italic" when referring to non-Roman troops from the Italian peninsula. Occasionally, a specific nationality such as Oscan or Etruscan is called out but more commonly those troops are referred to Italian.

Baccus, the UK based figure seller, lists the figures as Italians. The US published rule book, Age of Hannibal, refers to the troops type as Italians. A source book, the UK published Armies and Enemies of the Macedonian and Punic Wars by Duncan Head, refers to Italians and Italian allies. Finally, Impetus, rules out of Italy, refers to Italians in the Republican Roman troop list.
