I have mixed up very small batches for some single figures way back when. The warlord figures are the first I have bought in any quantity. I normally use Ceramcoat for my other figures. I just need a bottle I can keep going back to. |

Is "dark flesh" a name from a specific manufacturer? |

Ral Partha "Partha Paints" has an "Amerindian" (77-808) color that I used for my Skraelings vs Vikings figures. Reaper Pro Paint has "Sunburn Flesh" which is a bit darker & I used it on my Red Martians for my Barsoom game. |

Ceramcoat or whatever it is does have "dark flesh" as a color. If you bing image search you'll see a fairly wide range of flesh, tending towards darker than caucasians. But standard flesh with a nice brown wash, or the Tudor satin dip, is probably about average too. By the late 18th century there's been a good bit of intermingling, and therefore some range of skin tones. |

I would start lighter and then darker with a wash as desired, as it is easier to darken than to lighten. |

I use Delta Ceramcoat burnt sienna. This is one of the 28mm figures I've painted using that color.

I painted my Skraelings with Folk Art Portrait Dark. then, they got a wash of watered down Liquitex Dark Umber ink. That made them a bit too dark, so they got a dry brushing of Portrait Dark mixed with Reaper Rosy Shadow. Grelber |

I have migrated to use Citadel Contrast paints where I can. I have been using Fyreslayer Flesh for my Native Americans and then highlighting were I feel like it. |
