During the AWI, were they armed with muskets or rifles?

According to this piece – They were armed with Muskets

👍. It shall be wargamed accordingly.

They were teamed up with rifle-armed jäger, though.

On page 17 of Osprey MAA's 450 American loyalist Troops there is a contemporary watercolour of a rifleman of the Queens Rangers armed with, naturally, a rifle. On the next page is a grenadier of the same unit armed with what looks like a musket. My guess is there was a rifle armed component of the Queen's Rangers, while the other rangers had muskets. This mixture of rifles and muskets in the same unit were seen in some European armies in that period.

I should also note that the Perry Bros sell Queens Rangers Light Infantry, Grenadiers (both musket armed) and Riflemen in their AWI range.

"If you say they were teamed with jaegers"

Indeed, I do. Principally because Captain John Ewald of the Hessian jager contingent also says so, recording that arrangement in the journal that he kept.

A cool part of gaming Queen's Rangers is the different troop types and uniforms in the same unit. You can get a 28mm unit of QR with different troop types in the same bag from Old Glory. Way cool.
