They look good. I use my Captain Krustache figure for Mountie/Fur Trapper skirmishes myself, but I have to admit your use is probably closer to what Bob Murch intended.

On another subject entirely, I am glad to see I am not the only wargamer with units painted with color schemes in school colors.

Yes, I'll eventually do one using my college colors – maroon and white/gray – from Miss. State University.

And also black and gold – the colors of the US Army and its 1st Cavalry Division.
