When 4th edition got announced a 3rd edition PDF of ADLG went on sale for a nominal amount so I picked it up. There are a few of us interested in giving ADLG a try. Before we spend £30.00 GBP per set for the 4th edition I am wondering if we would get a good sense of ADLG by using our 3rd edition copy? I realize we would be a bit behind in ADLG game design and the lists have been updated for the 4th edition but do you think we get a good enough feel of the game to know whether it a good match for us or not? Or are changes significant enough that we'd get a wrong impression of 4th edition? Appreciate any thoughts. |

I am new to the game. Purchase 3rd, teas it but never tried it. Picked up 4th and have played 10 games. Not a lot of difference but t just enough good tweaks. Chris |

You can definitely get an excellent feel for ADLG from the 3rd edition. I played 3rd for 3 years, on and off, and recently studied and then played 4th at Cold Wars. As the previous post said, the differences are mostly clarifications and tweaks. It is an excellent game and very well suited for either tournament or casual play. |
