I am looking for suggestions on rules to use for the 3rd Afghan war. Obviously small unit actions with possible airplane rules . Thanks H

A suggestion is "The Sword to Adventure" which is a TSATF variant for skirmishes and small wars from 1908-1931. You can get it from sergeants3.com but you must have TSATF in order to play it. There is also a separate close combat variant.

Units are small – 10 to 20 figures, with supporting weapons and rules for tanks and armored cars. Nothing for airplanes, however.

The Jackson Gamers have used it many times, especially since we helped develop it. Works well for the Back of Beyond China.

I have used The Sword to Adventure and it is a really good set. I think t would work well for what you want to do.

Thanks guys. A vote from the Jackson gamers is solid gold for me. H

I did a scenario for it back in September. It's an interesting period as Colonial, WW1 and even, with care WW2 rules will work :-)
