Faron Bell and the guys in West Texas played a skirmish Napoleonic scenario called "Raise the Colors" using Fistful of Lead Big Battles rules by Wiley Games. Faron is a member of the Lone Star Historical Miniatures (LSHM) club of Texas.
Peninsula 1811 setting with the main objective being to raise your colors over a Spanish village to gain local support. link Figure scale was 1:1 with British and Brunswick detachments entering the top of the map and the Italians and French marching onto the bottom of the map. Brunswickers and French clashed in close combat on the right side of the map while Brits and Italians faced off with long range canon and musketry on the left side near the old fort. French eked out a pyrrhic victory and raised their colors on the village square. |
