Heh.

So I had been gone from TMP for a while, but was one of the "I have a paid account forever" people. Came back last night, and couldn't figure out why I didn't have supporter. Actually thought I had a lifetime account.
When I looked at the options for supporting TMP (which I'm all for), I realized lifetime isn't an option… So I went and looked through my hundreds of PMs.
And discovered that my account was extended for ten years in… 2009. So I expired while gone.

Can't decide if I'm old because of the number of renewals I've been through, or old because I was gone that long, or old because I forgot what I last renewed at.

/Off to chat with my lovely wife about what level of support I'll sign up for this year. You should do that too.

Senior, mature, experienced, veteran etc but not "old"

I confess to regular lapses of memory already, but probably not much worse than in my early 20s. Something about following a well known SF band probably wiped out a lot of neurones back then.

My Missus is very supportive of my various internet modelling activities. On the principle that it could be something much worse on-line, or I might be bothering her late in the evening

Everybody complains about getting old. I vastly prefer it to the alternative.

Everybody complains about getting old…

…but no one ever does anything about it.

I agree …

Didn't George Burns say, "If I knew I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself." …

Growing older is just a growing difference between your fysical and your mental age. At least here no one cares about the fysical age, we all are about sixteen ;-))))

Growing old is not for sissies. However, there are three things to know:
1. Memory is the first thing to go.
2. Uh
3. Well, I can't remember the other two.

"So I expired while gone."

So….you can still surf the internet from the great beyond?

Thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.
