Hi all, As you probably all know I've been posting stuff on here for years but recently I haven't been able to and the problem lies with photos. Previously I would simply right click on a photo on my blog (blogger), this would give me a link with a jpg or similar ending, I would post it on here and it was automatically recognised as a photo. Something has changed and when I get a photo link from blogger it gives this link Which doesn't get recognised, has anyone else had a similar problem and / or found a work round ? Cheers Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

I just clicked on the link in both messages. Each one gave me a different photo. Is that what you mean? |

Thanks Rusty, That's not what I meant, before TMP would show the photograph on the post on here and not just the word "link" which takes you to a separate page with the photo on. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

What I did on my photo above was to copy a link from my blog, paste it here then enclose it with a bit of code as suggested in the FAQ. I tried putting the code here but it translated itself into something else. All it is is the abbreviation for "image" in square brackets, then your link then the same thing with forward slash in front of the abbreviation. Does that make sense? Seems to work. DBDD |

Today it's working, but last time I tried -- a week or so ago -- it wasn't. That's how technology is, I suppose. |

Cheers everyone, I set up the img tags myself before putting it into TMP and it worked. It looks like the new blogger picture format doesn't automatically get recognised like the old one. All sorted now, thanks for everyone's help. Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

Yeah, that seems to be the problem. Thanks to Darrell for the work-around. Jim |

I have been helping several other TMP ers with this problem, I do it in a simple way: this is what I suggested; I went to your blog and right clicked, then clicked on the 'Copy Image Address' option. I then pasted it into my reply (above) – which when posted produces a LINK in the message instead of the picture.I then went to the 'Edit message' tab that appeared on my reply and over-wrote all the 'url's with 'img' – these appear at the front and end of the image address I pasted, then updated the message and clicked 'done'. This makes the image appear instead of the link! |

I'd noticed it too Ken. Blogger has done it before. Normally copy link brings up a URL that ends in jpg. For some reason it has changed. The workaround about changing URL to IMG sorts it out here. |

Thanks again everyone, prepared to be bombarded with new posts ;-) Regards Ken The Yarkshire Gamer |

OK, I got it. Thanks for the workaround! |

The workaround about changing URL to IMG sorts it out here. For interest, why does this work? (and many thanks for it) |

I am not a tech head, but I think TMP only recognises certain coding telling it to present the data as an image. Actually in the FAQ TMP link it does mention BB code formatting pictures, which does need reformatting in the same way as we are, inserting 'img'. |

Testing:
US WWII paratrooper. As above, did it the old way, didn't work, went into 'edit' and replaced 'url' with 'img'. V/R, Jack |
