The Book of Boba Fett has resurrected the badass bounty hunter, only to destroy everything that once made him so great. It's a fate worse than being eaten alive.

Interesting analysis but, I'm quite enjoying the series. The man obviously had an epiphany whilst 'in the belly of the whale' (sarlacc). **** Happens!

Me, too. The series opening, with him coming out of the Sarlacc, was pure genius, IMO. I like that it picks up exactly where the 1980 movie left off. Having seen that movie as a teenager, it was a real thrill to see the wreck of Jabba's yacht sitting there, sans Leia and Luke.

I am enjoying the storyline, as well. It's kind of fun to see petty thugs working on the fringes of the Empire, ignoring the whole Rebel-Empire battle in the rest of the galaxy. Cheers!

I'm also happy with the new series and look forward to the next episode.

Yep I agree also.

Thanks

The good-guy crime lord thing doesn't seem 100% consistent with the guy who talked back to Vader, but I'm waiting to see what he experienced with the Tuskens. There may be a great explanation.

I love it so far – some great performances, esp the mayor's lackey emissary.

I'm in the "like it" camp too. Wasn't crazy about the Vespa chase scene, but have really enjoyed everything else.

microgeorge19 Jan 2022 11:30 a.m. PST

The fact that the article mentions the Christmas special without any sense of irony make me discount its point of view.

I quite like it – especially the living with the Tuskens

I would be interested to know Chris Edward's age.

I am liking the show a lot. Although I do acknowledge that the new fat Boba is a big softie.

I think it's very good

Last night's episode explained his new approach. Makes perfect sense to me. BTW looks like the bacta tank flashbacks are done.

The Vespas nearly killed it for me.

The hand shields nearly killed it for me.

They need to stick better to established rules in canon.

Other than that…enjoying it.

Bandolier20 Jan 2022 8:47 p.m. PST

That show is the Book of Body Fatt.

We go from "No disintegrations", to whoever this character is that wears the armour. He's only properly ruthless in one scene in his ship, that is no longer referred to as Slave 1, (because…reasons). Now, he only wants "respict".

I'm hoping the remaining episodes provide something meaningful and more satisfying. I'm sure that there's something coming to tie this into the "Mando-verse" and wider Star Wars story.

Apparently addictions to tick tock has lowered our expectations considerably.

It's Star Wars, errrrr over the top, Sci-Fi dramatic theater, so perhaps after he got swallowed up by the Sarlacc and we just thought he was dead, he heroically cut or forced his way out of the creature's throat or stomach.

That would make a lot of sense in the storyline, where the impossible happens, like a small farm boy from a backwater desert planet becoming a top rebel fighter pilot in short order, AND destroying the Death Star (the greatest, and most powerful weapon of The Empire) almost singlehandedly, with a 1 in a MILLION shot, the first time he gets into the X-Wing's pilot seat.

nugrim18 Feb 2022 1:08 p.m. PST

I disagree he's awesome while in the trilogy he was total crap
