I recently finished another Dungeon Dweller, namely an Eye Beast by Reaper Miniatures. Using the airbrush for some underpainting saved me lots of time and I used UV resin for a glistening eye and saliva effect. Worked out great in my opinion. I had a bit of a negativity streak the past weeks, not really liking any of my projects, but I do like how this chap came out. Colours are nice, the central eye has great contrast and painting it was actually really fun.

I outlined the painting process on my blog: daggerandbrush.de/the-eye-beast-murder-is-in-the-eye-of-the-beholder

I think that is one of the very best painted Beholders that I have seen. Great job.

Beautiful. Well, as in "beauty is in the eye of the beholder"

Love the saliva. Some people overdo that kind of thing, but you nailed it. Detail in the eye adds so much to this miniature

Thank you all! Glad you like the Eye Beast. Yes, with the saliva less is more.

WOW!
I've got the same figure and agree about the lean…plus I just can't seem to get motivated to paint it.
