Shows once again the quality of his service.
Package sent on 12/29 (from the UK) and it was at my door in Chicago on 12/30.

There are rumors of someone getting a package before they ordered.

Stryderg04 Jan 2022 10:58 a.m. PST

It's not a rumor. The incident was well documented. Unfortunately, the documentation caused a paradox, the results can be seen here: link

So that is what happened to

There have been several times I've received Amazon packages before I've gotten the "your item has shipped" email.

Eventually, Amazon will refine their algorithm to the point they'll send me stuff before I know it exists.

And even when the wormhole is down for maintenance Jon lets you know…..

Nothing against the merchant-- but perhaps a bigger thank you is due the postal systems?
Pretty impressive.

Probably, but I think we all still feel the lack of appreciation when our packages are lost, mis-shipped to the wrong cities, damaged, opened and poorly re-taped, etc. One "atta boy" does not erase a thousand "you messed up".

No offense Stryderg, but the volume of well handled and timely delivered mail far out weighs the items that are damaged or lost.

Stryderg05 Jan 2022 2:16 p.m. PST

Oh, I agree. But I work in IT and have the same problem…no one notices it when you're doing your job right, but let one thing go wrong and you may be looking for new employment.

I was just attempting to point out that in most cases a quickly delivered package does not necessarily shine positively on the merchant, nor does a merchant deserve the cursing from a delayed or lost package.

I completely agree Russ. I make a couple dozen orders a year and almost never have a problem with loss, timeliness or a messed up order. That includes Old Glory.

In fact if there ever is a problem, it's one I've caused by screwing up the order in the first place.

With how many times I've ordered products elsewhere and had to wait two weeks for a shipping notification, I think GZG at least deserves a thumbs-up for their packing/dispatch times!
