I think we should always listen to other viewpoints. But I think anyone on the receiving end of any form of colonialism or empire building, from Alexander the Great and the Romans onwards, would be totally positive about it.

IMO, You really can't put today's standards, morals, etc., on things that happened 100, 200, 1000 years + ago. Some seem not to get that.
