I used the Box Elite Companies French infantry 1807 – 1814 and the extra metal heads, with hats to create those miniatures.

The multipose plastic kit offers some nice poses and the head change is also quite easily done. I had to do the collars a bit up with Green Stuff and also sculpted some bulkier neck stocks for some miniatures, those scarfs were quite trendy in 1806.

I am quite pleased with the overall outlook.

I used again GW Contrast colours, priming with GW wraith bone rattle can spray, only the white and the flesh parts were painted with conventional hobby paints, as well as the metall parts, for the red I added some highlight with a usual acrylic colour. Also I painted just for fun a Brit – to see how a red coat would work with Contrast paints.

The miniatures so far are in my view the best for the 1806 campaign, and the Perrys adding additional equipment – like the gamelle or the grand bidon, great additions to provide a good campaign outlook.

Brilliant work – I am just getting into the Contrast paints and have not been impressed with the white, but the blues and browns are great – your thoughts are very helpful, thanks for sharing

Very nice. What contrast blue did you use? My French look like they have some glow to the coats.

the blue is a mix of Leviadon blue, Talasar blue and ultramarines blue, just to achieve the shade one is liking, yes Leviadon blue laeves a shine but then – just put a layer of Ultra Matte Varnish from AK Interactive over it, works well.

vW I was hesitant to open this due to the subject- but when I see it is yours I am relieved. [I had expected some '1808' style uniforms…]

Excellent work as usual and informative dress of the Grande Armée.
Any chance the 'Seminar' works (slideshows) can be translated for us non-German speakers?

Congrats,

the Perrys included some very interesting details, the lock is open for the pose priming the pan, so powder can be poured on it, the same – for firing – the cock is in full cock position before pulling the trigger.
