Well the M4A3E8 with the HVSS is just brilliant. Nice 76 mm gun to take on those Tigers and Panthers, which we now know could not get a quick turret rotation, could not load fast enough and were even worse to exit. TMP link Now the other and earlier variant. It has the grouser ventilators which is a mark of an M4, or M4A1 or M4A4. But it then has those grilles over the engine of an M4A2 (only used by US Marines in the Pacific or by Lend/Lease units) or M4A3 (no raised ventilators in that case either) OK, the truth is that these two look better than most in my 1/72 collection of M4 variants. The painting/shading/highlighting is superb I want to see periscope guards mind you, just because it is 1/144 scale…no excuse……….. |
