Hi guys,
I`m planning to start a 28mm Polish Pike and shotte army. can you recommend any models? Of course im gonna need Winged Hussars. I prefer the later look, with plate armour, 2 big wings, you know. So far as i know only Warlord and Tercio miniatures produce late Hussars. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

There's The Assault Group

But it looks like only one wing.

Old Glory 25's:

Foundry has really nice Hussars, and so does Warlord. My Polish forces are made up of Foundry, TAG, and some Old Glory. Don't forget a lot of Infantry was made up from German troops so you can have Polish cavalry and your infantry can be foreigners.

My Chaps are the same mix as Irish, with the addition of Warlord who are the most energetic looking. The Krakow Militia are a colourful unit but historically I am not sure when and where they actually appeared!

I really like the Hinchliffe winged hussars.

Not hussars, but the "Armored companion" medium cavalry:

How do the Old Glory Hussars compare with Warlord's? (size)
Thanks!

Probably the same size, slightly chunkier, not a good mix within the same unit. OG also do Lithuanian Hussars, wingless chaps,

Are there any models for the Krakow militia?

nickinsomerset14 Dec 2021 2:27 p.m. PST

Yes The Assault Group produce the Krakow Militia, essential for any Polish force!

Hi,
I cant find the Hinchliffe Hussars, can someone psot a link?
The Old glory Hussars look cool, but the shipping cost to Germany is nearly higher than the actual minis!!! Do you know Tercio Miniatures?
Thanks!

My advice is don't go crazy with the winged hussars…each of your battles should have one hussar banner to every three pancerni banners and then throw in one or two dragoon units.

I have a foundry, tag and old glory army that was finished seven years ago and never seen the field!
