According to Ernest May, "Strange Victory: Hitler's Conquest of France" (2000), pg 476 forward, the Sept 1939 stats were as follows:
TANKS
Germany = 3,195
France = 4,535
Britain = 0 (still in UK); by May 1940 = 640
Poland = 300
BOMBERS AND FIGHTERS
Germany = 2,760
France = 2,000
Britain = 3,273
Poland = 313
HEAVY ARTILLERY
Germany = 7,300
France = 10,000
Britain = 300
Poland = 4,000
By May, and adding Belgian and Dutch forces but subtracting the Poles, combat losses, and German deployments in Poland, the stats in the West were roughly:
TANKS
German 2,439 vs 4,204 Allied
AIRCRAFT
German 3,369 vs 4,981 Allied
HEAVY ARTILLERY
7,378 German vs 13,974 Allied
There are additional stats in the pages that follow, including a breakdown of light, medium, and heavy tanks by calibre of gun.
Hope this is helpful.
