Notice recently that they send miniatures to USA. This was good news as previously this was not the case. Ordered some Napoleonics and payment was made by PayPal. So far no problems.

After about 3 weeks and still in the processing phase, I sent an inquiry on the status of my order. The next day they returned my money with no explanation. Strange folk. So sad as their miniatures look so nice. Hope you have better luck.

Sounds like they just gave up in frustration.

Temperamental artists?

From my dealings with them it may be a mixture of both explanations offered.

There was a time, post Brexit, when they could not ship to the UK because of the extraordinarily complicated duties newly imposed suddenly, where free trade had applied. Many companies eg Brigade Games Miniatures (US) were unable to ship to Australia because of Covid restrictions Down Under, not to mention import duty. AM recently sent me a message about the massive delays in shipping between continents right now, as a further problem.

I do get the impression that they are not totally driven by commercial considerations. I see them as the Ben and Jerry of 20mm metals, in it for the sheer kick of a good product (and then selling the company for multimillions…and why not?)

AM are great figures. I am currently working on 40 French cuirassiers and the casting is superb. A joy to paint.

As so often, the reall problem here is lack of communication. Language is not an issue, that I do know. Spare time might be!

Most likely they are a small company, restricted to a one man show – who has to sculpt, do the moulds, cast the miniatures, take them off the casting sprues and then do post and packing, as well, I assume doing also a normal 8 hours job additional to that.

Yes they look like nice figures.

As an example, ordered same day- UK 15 days to arrive in nz (sunday); from Oz nothing- tracking doesnt show if even left Oz yet!
