I'm looking for some alien armored vehicles to supplement my son's GZG Crusty aliens. We aren't likely to use their semi-official background; we just wanted to use some vehicles in our Star Grunt 2 games. I found some decent looking APC/AFVs and tanks from Alternative Armies, but I haven't come up with much for him yet. Only ones I've seen were Khurasan Huntaar Zeneggs, which may be a little large, and the Kravak vehicles from GZG, which look to be a little too small. I then thought of looking for some cool 3d printed designs, but mainly I am finding websites that will sell you designs, but you have to print them out yourself. I don't have a 3d printer, and don't want to get one. I've dealt with Shapeways before, and would rather not deal with them again if I can help it. So I'm asking if anyone knows of companies that design and print out the items for you, in varying scales? |

Try prehistory for ideas. Like Trilobites and the strange funaná of the Burgess shale |

Check out your local library system. Sometimes they offer 3D printing… |

Nope, no 3d printers in our library system. Semi-rural area = not enough money coming in to afford them. |

How many vehicles are we talking about? And do they need to be SLA or could the job be done with FDM? |

I have no idea what materials you are talking about, Andrew. :( I've only ever gotten minis from Shapeways, and between their constant price increases and lousy service, I'd given up on them. I normally got my minis made in their nice resin materials, not the grainy regular stuff; I'm pretty picky about finish, etc. I have yet to find any designs I'd want to have printed; I didn't yet spend the time browsing hundreds of images, etc, to find the perfect one yet. As for quantity, probably 4 for now, as I'd want even numbers of AFVs (infantry carriers that can actually fight decently, not poorly armed APCs). |

Kryomek alien vehicles have a bio style like tyranids. They are resin 25mm, available from kryomekusa.com |
