New one to me, but certainly is tempting. |

Sounds like it's mainly a unit/uniform guide, not a history of the battle. He has one on Gettysbrug too but no reviews or previews I can find |

I cannot find anything on the author, and not much to go on at Amazon. It's a pricey risk without a little background, IMO. |

On Amazon there is a Kindle preview – only a few pages and the ToC. No previews of army lists though. Might be obvious to others – but I hadn't noticed until I saw the ToC that it is only the Grande Armee and not the allies. |

Okay so here's the low down. Just got my copy from Amazon. You get maybe 12 pages of text. Mostly fluff. The rest of the book is all pictures. It goes unit by unit with little pictures of the unit. But rather than, say, images 1" tall and just a few per unit, you get men that are 1/4" tall. So it's kinda like photos of 6mm troops for each unit, with units being 40 or 50 men. I have not checked the accuracy of anything. So for a gamer, pretty useless, except as an OOB. The images are too small to be uniform guides. It does look, however, like uniforms are detailed but when printed are simply too small to really be useful. |

It seems he has one on The Battle of Wagram as well. I am interested to see his OOB as I have the reports from the archives and want to see if his OOBs match up correctly. I saw a preview for the Peninsular 1812-1814 which looks similar to what Extra Crispy posted. Would like to know if he used secondary or primary sources in his creation of the OOBs. Extra Crispy, does the book contain any information where he got the OOBs from? They should be listed as 2C and then a three-digit number on the files. Thanks for the help. Michael |
