Just placed an order for some 1/3000 WW1 ships. I am going to mostly 3D print my own but looking for a source for the smaller ones DD and smaller. They look fine order was delivered in a respectable time frame but and this is a deal breaker. They shipped them without nothing what was what in the box. So even though they look great, are a great price and more importantly are USA based I can not know what is what I unfortunately place further orders with them. I will Go with NAVWAR. |

Yeah. I order in 1/1500 so it is no big deal to compare the ones I cannot visually ID with their pics online or with one of my references, but I can see where that would be a problem at 1/3000. |

Have you looked on the bottom of each ship? I ordered some samples several years ago in 1:2400 scale, including a pre-dreadnought destroyer. They all had the ID number on the bottom. Now granted I had to use a magnifying glass to see the number, but it is there. Jim |

Same same on I'd numbers on underside. |

Well I'll be. Yup. The numbers are on the bottom. Learn something new every day. |

@Charles Popp Thin some black paint to a thin wash and ink it to the inderside of the model. It should generate enough contrast to allow reading, but note, you will need a high degree of magnification, even so. |

I was really impressed with the WTJ ships. In 1/3000 the details was exquisite. Identifying the ships was a challenge (good tip on using an ink wash on the bottom). I ended up ordering the same fleets (pre dreadnought) from Navwar as well. I will go with the Navwar castings as they are a little more robust to handle drilling for wire masts. The less detailed Navwar ships don't look as out of place with slightly over sized masts. Additionally they are easier to paint. |

I have a 3d printer and files from a Kickstart I backed. I am just looking to fill in the holes. I found two other guys I plan on using in addition to NAVWAR. The WTJ ships look awesome but the simple fact that they can't make it easy to know what is what is a no joy for me |
