I am looking at using the Peter Pig rules for 54mm Vietnam wargaming and have an opportunity to buy a mat with 12" squares which might work quite well.

But, the mat is likely to end up at 5 squares across x 10 (or 12) wide.

The mat in the rulebook is 6 squares across.

Can anyone tell me if this will matter? Is it important to have 6 squares across the mat or will it affect terrain deployment, etc too much?

Many thanks

Mike
