I have many times looked at toys to convert and paint, I also like some toys as they are already painted, and I have seen big hyper realistic tables have some toys on,but I had never seen anywhere where this subject is discussed |

Depending on what style you game in: Toys might make up a large portion of the items on the table. I started doing Victorian Science Fiction (VSF) way back in the last century, when no models or figures for the subject were being made, especially in 15mm. But toys provide a lot of possibilities: From just something simple, like a steam tractor:
To a not too well disguised toy walker:
To lots of possible two legged walkers:
Things like VSF and Sci/Fi lets one do lots of this. In a strictly historic setting, it might be more difficult. Look around and you will find more: 15mmvsf.bagofmice.com |

Also: Games played with 'plastic army men' – painted, merely dipped, or unpainted! And many car combat games use toy cars. Do pre-painted fantasy figures count as toys? |

What's your toy interest? I self-published a set of rules for Army Men, back in 1998. Still love gaming with them. Welcome to TMP! Cheers! |

I like the timpo range, I had lots as a child. I have a big table so 54mm timpo may be good to use |

Used to game with olde, toy plastic soldiers back in the day. I've used dirt clods and rocks to fight battles with friends and my son (eons ago), outdoors. Good fun! Battles with various Clix, and/or Clix-like, prepainted plastic figs are good fun too. I'm using commercial, free, and home-grown rules for those. |
