There were only a few posts on Forgeworlds (Games Workshop) Warhammer Historical game "Great War" back in 2008. And virtually none since then.

Does anyone still play it or the even rarer supplement, "Over the Top". If yes, what armies do you play? What size games? If you are still playing it I'm assuming you enjoy it but what are your general impressions of the game?

I just managed to pick up a copy of the rules on Amazon for $65 USD which seemed a fair price given its sparsity.

Thanks!

Hi

I am getting back into 28mm WW1 and Will be uses these rules. I play late war US, German, Brits. I will be getting the plastic French from wargame Atlantic late this month.

I have a large 4 part 2 ft. by 4 ft. geomorphic 3d inlayed game board for games , So point wise from couple of 100 points to a couple of thousands for a big game.

Thanks Mole, that sounds like a great table. I'm still in the deciscion making process of either going with 1914 Brits and Germans to avoid the whole trench-building dynamic or will I just bite the bullet and go with 1918 French and Germans.

It's a grand shame that Russians, Austro-Hungarians and Serbs never got their own book but I'm assuming they would be easy enough to do if you can find TOE's for them.

Thanks!

That's quite an achievement!

Impressive. However, it seems to me that gaming WWI would be as grim as the war itself.

Great looking tables

Outstanding Wackmole9! What rules are you using?

I uses both Bolt action WW1 by Gajo and Great war by GWSH.
