My ongoing project to document my Second World War 20mm collection for Chain of Command continues with the second part on my German infantry, this time covering assorted late war units including Volksgrenadiers, Volkssturm and Waffen SS. The vast majority of figures are from AB. You can see much more here Volksgrenadier, Volkssturm and Waffen SS in 20mm

Some of the Waffen SS from AB:

A group of Volksgrenadiers NCOs with StG44 and MP40, also from AB:

They are little gems! 20mm is something I've toyed with over the years but never got results anywhere near these. The camo is spot on even more so for the scale, very nicely done.

It has only just dawned on me that these are 20mm and not 28mm, even with the title. DURRRRRRH

How about the armbands on the Volkssturm?

Nice to see a Panzerschreck……unless of course you are the loader in a one hatch Sherman turret.

Reminds me of Vonnegut's encounter with the volkssturm

"Two of the Germans were boys in their early teens. Two were ramshackle old men -- droolers and toothless as carp. They were irregulars, armed and clothed fragmentarily with junk taken from real soldiers who were newly dead… "

Always love your work

there are a number of nice volkssturm shq, battlefield and cp models that you are missing

The volksstrurm did use a few women/girls in berlin.
