Nice surprise news. Wargames Atlantic have just announced they are working on New Kingdom Egyptians. Very exciting. Will be very good I believe. Amazing addition to plastics. |

I'm surprised that it's taken so long for plastic NKE to appear. IMHO I would have thought that doing plastics of the cheap point costing figures for an army would generally be more of a sale than doing the expensive point costing figures. A few plus boxes of Egyptians should prove very useful and I'll be keeping an eye out for these too. I wonder if they will do the NKE chariots at a later stage, as they would be very welcome too. |

What is the appeal of plastic NKE figures? |

I believe chariots are planned too and some opposition. |

The appeal for me would be cost. I'll go for second-hand Lamming metals if I can get them cheaper ! |

More goodies from Wargames Atlantic for me to spend my money on, these guys really are expanding into areas I didn't think we would ever see in hard plastic. |

79thPA, +1 Dagwood, loads of cheap point costing troops are so much more cost effective as plastics. I have a load of metals, but for such common troops, plastics is great for filling the gaps. |

Fair enough. I was actually looking at a lot of plastics a few weeks ago at a show and, in my mind, I was thinking that I could buy a bag of Old Glory figures for less money and not have to assemble anything. |

+1 79PA Old Glories are very nice and no assembly is required. I don't like putting together fiddly plastic pieces that may fall apart. Much better to paint sturdy metal ones nicely. |
