Which of your forces have been isolated on station for the greatest extent of time without contact with friend or foe? That is, which minis that you have haven't seen the table in the longest time? I have a couple of coffee cans full of "generic" HeroClix figures (henchmen, LEO, soldiers). Haven't played a scenario with hordes of minions like that in a while. Close on their heels would be my wasteland mutants, then my 18th Century North American small skirmish forces. |

Gotta go with a 3 way tie of: 1) 28mm ACW 2) 28mm Wild West 3) Painted plastic Star Wars figures (not the new stuff, but old Wizards of the Coast, plastic crack I've heard it called). Just recently reorganized my game room, wow, I've got a lot of figures in many different periods. If I played one game a month with a different period of time or location (air, sea, land) I couldn't get in all the different periods I have figures in one year. Ah, a misspent youth collecting whatever shiny line of figures caught my eye. Maybe not misspent. |

Too many! I don't play more than a couple of miniatures games each year… Cheers! |

I would say my British Colonial Highlanders – as once painted they have never seen a gaming table (yet – when I get my new set of TSATF rules I hope to have them out for a game) |

Probably the 6mm South American Wars of Liberation "armies"; these have never seen battle, but I paint so slowly that they are just now approaching numbers for a smallish skirmish :-( |

Probably my 15mm Minifig and Heritage Napoleonics. Last used in a game back in '87, I think |

My WW2 stuff hasn't been used for a while. 15mm Zulu Wars, even longer. |

Mike's Models 15mm Seven Years War. 20 years maybe more. As a poll question maybe it should be something like Of your painted armies what's the longest it has been for one to have been played with? Good idea for a poll. I've armies that I never have used or used only once. |

Hmmm… if we don't count figures that have never seen a game (or are waiting painting), probably the Space Marines and Genestealers of Space Hulk (2nd ed). Haven't had that game on my own table in years. Closely followed by my original Warmaster Dwarves (these days I typically pull out the Bo5A set rather than these). I've got some spacefleets on Very Long Patrol, too. X-wing ships have also been languishing, but some of the fleet saw a bit of action on Friday night, with the others hoping to be unleashed… but alas, no— general battle was averted. *Sigh* It's not from lack of my own personal interest, but lack of players in my little neck of the woods. My gaming group largely focuses on board games (but will play WoG and X-wing), so my minis gaming is largely solo. |
