"Would you order Britannia 20mm from Grubby Tanks or?" Topic

Just wondering if there is another option given the poor record lately and would rather not deal with issue-laden miniatures ordering. Finding 20mm is hard Britannia is hard enough though.

I ordered some Redoubt bits from him early this year arrived in a couple of days with some freebies no drama at all. I hadn't heard about any problems what's the dirt then?

I live in the U.S. (rural Oklahoma) and have ordered from Grubby several times over the last three years (both Redoubt miniatures and Britannia Miniatures). Any time that I have had trouble it seems to have been the fault of either Royal Mail or the customs service. On two occasions boxes had been opened and several items were missing. That said, once I sent Andy an email letting him know about the problem, he quickly recast the missing miniatures and sent them to me at no charge (along with some extra free miniatures). I should also note that I received the replacement miniatures in little over a week. Andy provides first rate service and produces excellent miniatures at a reasonable price.

What is it in 20mm that you are looking for?

I have ordered a good number of his Kelly's Heroes range over the past couple of years and the service and communication were very good (despite one of the postal services losing one of the parcels -- Andy replaced it immediately and then it arrived safely).

Grubby's mail order service is excellent from the Redoubt range. Promptly sent and extras provided – very kind of Grubby to do so.

I've had good experiences with him in the past. He was great with communication – replied to e-mails and shared items that were not on his web site. Orders sent to here in the US usually took a few weeks, and I might wait a month or two max.

However, that hasn't been the case with my last order. I've been waiting on a larger sized (for me) order placed late in 2020. No response to inquiries, which I find very disappointing. I've e-mailed, gone through the PayPal account address, used his website "Contact Us" link. Calling is my next option.

Nothing, no response, not even so much as a "I'm a bit behind, working on filling it" message. Any small acknowledgment would be welcome. Better still, sending a partial order and saying the rest will be filled when cast would be welcome.

Adding to my irritation is seeing that other orders, placed months after mine, are being filled and received.

From reading others postings here and on other sites, I've gathered he is much better at fulfilling smaller orders. Don't ask what constitutes a "smaller order" (I think I had 80 some items.)

He has a nice range of products but in the future, I'll look for other options, same as Doctor X.

100%. Yes always had great service and i asked for the special items and he was great, about my request.

Always had excellent service, the only thing that has stopped me buy more is the increase in postage to Australia (not in his control)
