Firstly apologies for my apparent spam. Opera kept telling me my connection failed and I didn't know my posts were going up. I deleted all the duplicate messages. Here is the message again.

I played out a scenario in Roll20 using google earth screen shots I dropped over grids and scaled to Twilight:2000 2.0 8m squares. Horribly blurry resolution on the g.earth.

but I can't access my miniatures at the moment and this scratched the wargaming itch quite a bit. It was actually pretty fun coz I could make my own scenario from scratch without building all the scenery. Of course, it looks like garbage compared to a miniature version of what this would look like…

Has anyone else wargamed using Roll20?

Yes; modern skirmish combat mainly.

It's also good to run campaigns on with 'fog or war' turned on and map restrictions using the light editing layer.

I'd suggest "Owlbear Rodeo" it's much simpler and smoother than roll 20.

"Tacticaltokens.com" also makes very easy circular tokens from any pictures

Front Door – oh cool, so I'm not the only one. I assume you're refereeing other players when you use fog of war? I'm doing my games solo.

Dr Skull – Cool, I checked out Owlbear Rodeo, pretty cool and intuitive. Only, can you save maps and tokens n stuff on it? Haven't figured it out..

Yes, you can save maps and tokens to Owlbear rodeo. Actually, anything you upload is automatically kept in your browser cache on that particular computer and will still be there when you open up owlbear next time on that particular computer.

Oh cool Doc. I see. I still like Roll20 tho, it seems more "secure". All there, from multiple devices. Maybe I'm dumb tho? I have a shitload of notes and images on Roll20. My worst nightmare is being "woke banned" from Roll20 tho, seeing as they are so woke and might even be opposed to like me running a game about the Vietnam War or something, with Vietnamese characters, as a white person. It's so dumb. The world is super dumb in 2021. I wouldn't put anything past Dumb World 2021 (tm).
