I've read all of Michael Arnold's books about the ECW. I enjoyed his historical fiction so much so I started playing Pikeman's Lament, and painting a very large group of miniatures, it also sent me into the Thirty Years War, 80 Years War and so on. Arnold has 6 books in his series and was set to release his 7th but never did. I've emailed him several times in the past and he was nice enough email me back, but lately I've received nothing. Is there anyone across the pond that might know something? And, yes Michael Arnold is from my the UK.

There are 7 ECW books, and an 8th that sends Stryker overseas.Traitor's Blood, Devil's Charge, Hunter's Rage, Assassin's Reign, Stryker & the Angels of Death, Warlord's Gold, Marston Moor, Prince's Gambit

Michael has also written three highwayman books

He's still posting on FB so I guess that means he is still alive and kicking.

Well, two are short stories only on Kindle; Prince's Gambit and Angels of Death. Angels of Death Was really good because Stryker fights Polish Winged Hussars.

The novellas are available on paper… tricksy to track down though. Princes Gambit can be bought from the NCWC in Newark, and also Nantwich Museum had some copies when I last visited

I enjoyed these. Very much an ECW Sharpe, with enty of heroism and dastardly villains.

The Giles Kristian books are good too, although there only 2 books written of the trilogy.
