Afternoon all,

You may recall I posted a few weeks ago about fighting some battles to try out the DBN rules, using paper soldiers (to avoid the expense of actual figures, incase we didn't like the rules)

Yes DBN is an excellent set of rules for all the reasons you noticed. The French need to use their column advantage for melees – 2 stands deep infantry with +3. They should have attacked the BUA in column and from multiple sides if possible. The author has some great teaching videos out on Youtube. Either 6mm or 15/18mm stands will work fine.
