Hello: I'm posting an update for NNWG, ( I don't know if that works) we have secured our first location for a meeting. The location is at the Zaloga American Legion Post in Albany NY. We have yet to set a date but I'm sure it will be in Nov. We now have a Facebook page, of course titled Northern New York wargaming group, please join share photos of your games, painting tips and so on. Northern New York is a large area and I understand if people can't make it to certain games especially this first one, which we are hoping to have at least 30 gamers, but please try to organize your own events in your areas post the event on Facebook and hopefully we will be starting a lot of mini cons through Northern New York. Great job, Irish Marine. Good luck with your first event. Just an FYI: 1st weekend in Nov. is Carnage 24 in Southern VT;
2nd weekend in Nov. is Historicon in Valley Forge, PA. You may want to take that information into consideration when setting your schedule. I look forward to hearing about your group and (hopefully) joining you in the near future. |

Irish Marine, My suggestion is that you bring your Albany crew to Carnage in VT (about a 1-1.5 hour drive) and then follow up with your local meeting after Thanksgiving. Plenty of interesting miniatures and board games at Carnage. You already know about Historicon. Either way, enjoy the games. |

FYI, speaking of gaming events in the Albany area, the SWA will host a game day on Oct. 9 starting at 11am at Flights2 on Sand Creek Road. Enjoy the games. |
