The head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Yevgeny Zinichev died tragically during an exercise in Norilsk. This was reported in the department on September 8. As indicated in the message, Zinichev died in the line of duty – saving a person's life in interdepartmental exercises. Zinichev headed the department since 2018. Now in Russia there are large-scale exercises of rescuers in the Arctic zone, which are attended by the leadership of the rescue service and a large number of journalists. Filming of the process of the exercises took place, including on a rock located above the sea, where the leadership of the exercises was located. One of the videographers stumbled and fell off a cliff into the sea. After him, Minister Yevgeny Zinichev immediately rushed into the water. Unfortunately, both people were killed by hitting the reefs.
