Finally the head of the (highly recommendable) museum at the "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" agreed to have the planned session with interesting readings at the 2nd of October 2021. The final program had been published today at PDF link … so in case someone of the enthusiasts here in the Nap. Discussion Boards want to visit the cost-free event in Leipzig, they're open to send an email to me for registration. I know, it is in German – but perhaps some of you understand it quite well … and like earlier events, I'll publish at least the slides on Napoleon Online. Greetings from Berlin

Hey guys, you made my day :-) @dibble: sorry, but we used the word "British army" at our books with the Lyall plates, and there was some discussion about the use of "British", as during the 1810's it was the "English army". But as a kind of "fan" for the Bavarians during the Napoleonic period I'm used to the amalgamation to "German troops". Greetings from Berlin

Seems a worldwide pandemic in woke history rewriting for no tangible or sensible reasons. Once upon a time it was acceptable to be termed 'British', but I guess it's all up now.
