If you are running to higher ground, drive safe and keep your powder dry. Did you pack your minis or leave them behind? If you are hunkering down, keep your powder and your feet dry. Do you plan on getting in game or two while waiting for things to clear up?
Either way, my prayers are with our gamers being affected. |

Have family who live in Baton Rouge. One group fled to Texas and the other to Alabama. Can't get em both |

Here in central Mississippi we are forecast to get high winds and a lot of rain. But we have a number of family and wargaming friends in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas. As far as I know they are all getting ready for the pummeling that's coming. What's eerie is that Ida is coming ashore this afternoon on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. But this time the track appears to be to the west of New Orleans so the improved levee and pumping system should help mitigate any really severe flooding. Jim |

We travelled from NC through northern Alabama and back up to TN yesterday and into last night, staying ahead of Ida's remnants. Forecasts were for flash flooding and high winds, but we never saw any of either. But I see the reports that LA and MS were hit hard— millions out of power, almost half-a-million without water and a similar number under boil-before-use instructions. My prayers go out to all those affected. I suspect we won't hear from many of your for some time, but please do check in when you can! |
